Noah Joe Draper is a multi disciplinary artist that works in painting, photography, ceramics and digital media.

The greatest pleasure Draper gets when exploring these mediums is finding novelty in technique and source material. The almost scattered sourcing of imagery from the internet and photography manipulated through digital programs generates the bulk of inspiration and aesthetic resources in Drapers work, opening avenues of new textures, mashup images and new drafting methods which are all hopefully realised and felt for in the material production of a painting.

Technique approached through a sensuous handling of material or an attempt to experience techniques and effects inspired by historical and contemporary art greatly feed into the work. Day dreaming up new approaches is what Draper finds his self doing most mornings until the attempt to recreate these fantasies through working is approached and realised, dealing with what is at hand he weaves and shifts the compositional and physical problems he is faced with. Work involves a constant revealing and obscuring of layers through daily applied motifs and gestures, until finally the work has arrived and feels genuine.
